‘Madama Butterfly’ Pacific Opera Project reprises the company’s acclaimed 2019 production of Puccini’s tragic 1904 tale about the ill-fated romance between a young Japanese woman and a U.S. naval officer. Featuring a first-ever libretto in English and Japanese by Eiki Isomura and artistic director Josh Shaw and kimonos by designer Sueko Oshimoto. With subtitles in both languages. Includes pre-show performances by local arts groups and and post-show talkbacks with cast members and the creative team.
