Dear readers,
I am sad to report that TV or Not TV — for LA & OC will not be continuing into 2025. Despite my best efforts over the past 15 months, the newsletter and website have failed to gain any real traction with the general public.
Truth be told, I was never able to move the needle beyond two dozen paying customers, and I fear I may have grossly overestimated the interest in, and market for, localized arts and entertainment listings, at least in this particular format.
(The paywall has been down since October 1st of this year, meaning no fees have been collected from monthly subscribers since then. As for my small handful of yearly subscribers, I will be issuing prorated refunds soon, where applicable, once I work out how to do that with Substack, Stripe, etc.).
Unfortunately, I have exhausted all of the resources that I had to devote to this project, and now it is time for me to move on and seek gainful employment elsewhere — a difficult decision, as I have felt privileged to be a part of the local arts ecosystem lo these many years. It’s always hard to walk away from a job you love.
To any and all publicists, promoters and presenters, local and national, it has been my pleasure working with you. And thanks again to all of my readers for your patience, patronage and support.
With best wishes for the New Year,
Matt
So sorry you are folding. LA Choreographers & Dancers continues at 45 but with less press support. We dance & create art as it is our lives, and hopefully the general public will become re-interested in this vital area that creates hope and dreams.

Sorry to hear about the cancellation. I wish that just the TV listings could live on, but I understand that you've got to do what's right for you. Thanks for all of the years of enhancing my entertainment options.
